For almost 50 years, the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration has partnered with the American Camp Association, Illinois to provide a summer camp job fair for all students at Western Illinois University.

Working at camps provides opportunities for students from ALL majors to enhance their cultural competency, to develop leadership skills, and to earn money that can ease their financial stress for the following year. The camps would love to hire students while they're here!
More than 30 camps, both day and residential, have already registered to visit WIU. Camp directors have shared that they are willing and excited to meet with students and talk about the camping industry. They have encouraged us to reach out to all departments, as they would be very pleased to hire students from a wide variety of majors. In their own words, hiring a diverse staff enhances experiences for their employees and their campers.
Camp directors will be available from Wednesday, January 24 at 8:00 am until Friday, January 26, at 11:00 am.
